I am a distinguished physician scientist and healthcare executive, bringing over 25 years of experience to my leadership coaching practice. I have honed my healthcare leadership skills through my work in hospital administration, medical staff governance, information technology, and big data research.

As a certified Leadership Coach, I focus on the development of individuals. I believe that leadership coaching is a powerful tool for advancing the careers of motivated healthcare leaders. It develops essential skills in key areas such as leadership, professionalism, and wellness. My coaching encourages self-reflection and personal growth, helping leaders to understand their strengths and areas for improvement.

I have several decades of experience in leading healthcare IT in a variety of settings, including serving as VP and CMIO of Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare system in Western New York, and the CMIO of UBMD, the State University of New York at Buffalo faculty practice plan. I am also the Executive Director of the Institute for Healthcare Informatics at the University at Buffalo.

Among my clinical leadership roles, I am Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and served as Chief of General Pediatrics for the University at Buffalo Department of Pediatrics. I also served as President of the Medical/Dental Staff at Kaleida Health. In these positions, I had extensive experience working with physicians and other healthcare leaders on difficult professional issues. I understand the importance of fostering a culture of wellness and balancing personal and professional lives, thus reducing the risk of burnout and cultivating a healthcare environment that values and prioritizes the wellness of its clinicians and leaders.

I hold MBA and MD degrees from the University at Buffalo, as well as a BS in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Rochester and a MS in Astronomy from Stony Brook University. I am Board Certified in Pediatrics (retired), a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, certified as a Medical Staff Leader by the Greeley Medical Staff Institute, and certified to provide the Hogan Personality Assessment. I am a certified Leadership Coach from the University at Buffalo.
